Men with dark eyes and sharp
brains have different kind of attractiveness
I look at him looking at me with so much intensity that I get lost in his eyes.
I snap out of the trance when my sister clears her throat to get my attention. He too seemed to take notice of the people around. His arms slide slowly on my waist before he moves back and I too step back and clear my throat.
I look at him looking at me but I do not look at him at all instead I find the people around more interesting.
"I apologize",he said in a husky voice.
His voice sent butterflies flying into my belly. It was way too raspy and husky.
I just nod at him and watch him step aside for me to walk forward. I step forward and move past him following my sister.
On our way she nudges me with her shoulder but I just shrug off with a smile. I feel his eyes boring on my back and I have the temptation to look back but I ignore it.
Geet and Reyhan are seated on the stage arranged for the bride and the groom while all of us are gathered around.
Soon the rings are exchanged and all of us hoot for them. Their families cannot control themselves and as I look around I realize that even though given the family history I have I am not looking for anything right now. I am in the second year of law school and I intend to complete my school without any man coming in between my plans.
I look around and my eyes find his but I look away nonchalantly.
Soon we move towards the buffet section where different delicacies of Rajasthan have been presented.
All four of us were standing together and Ishaan and I were discussing what to eat first. Raika was ignoring us and Rehan bhai was glaring at men staring at us.
"I have heard the Rathores are very influential in Rajasthan",ishan said.
"They are. They also have history of royals and they still are addressed as royalty",Rehaan bhai said.
"Does that mean they are involved in whatever goes around?",I ask with a frown.
"Yes, mostly Kiara. And you both will not go around snooping about the family",he said and pointed at ishan and I.
We both nod and Rehan bhai and ishan are called by dadu.
My sister and I decide to get some food from the buffet area.
Raika and I were eating when we were called by dadu to meet some guests. We walk towards them and I see my entire family gathered along with Reyhan's family and I see him there as well. He is from their family it seems.
Dadu introduces us to them and we join hands to greet them. He tells them our names along with what we are pursuing. He then turns to me and said.
"This is Kiara,my granddaughter. She's pursuing law just like me",he said with smugness.
All of us laugh at him and and then they introduce their family. I get to know that Reyhan's parents are Rishit and Radhani Rathore and he has a sister Rihani Rathore.
"And this is my nephew Rajveer Rathore",he introduced the man with dark eyes.
Rajveer Rathore
His name is attractive too.
Does this family name all their children after the letter R? They can make even their names sound powerful.
"He is currently pursuing MBA", he said.
Impressive
Men with sharp brains are attractive at another level.
All of them engage in small talk while the youngsters stand silently. I look around at every person and realize the man standing with Rajveer staring at Raika. His name was Reyansh I guess. There are so many people with their names starting from the letter R in his family. I look at my sister trying to not look at him and I frown.
Do they know each other?
Why would he stare at her then?
Similar to how the dark eyed man was staring at you,my conscience said.
I rolled my eyes and sigh.
The guests start leaving and all of us stand to greet them at the gate. I am so tired already. We have haldi and mehendi the day after and then the wedding.
Tomorrow both the families will move to the resort where all the functions will take place as they have decided to have the functions for both the bride and the groom together.
All of us take our leave and get in our cars.
There's silence in the car as everyone is tired. We reach the Mathur Villa and all of us move to our rooms. Raika and I are sharing a room.
We get in and take off our heels and change out of our outfits and lay on the bed. I turn to her and ask,"Do you know that mam Reyansh?"
"N-no",stuttering she said.
I point my fingers at my eyes and then at her saying I have my eyes on her. She rolls her eyes and turns her back to me.
"You both would look great together",I said.
She ignores me and continues turning her back to me.
"Your kids will look adorable too",I giggle and said.
She turns back and throws a pillow at me and we both end up laughing. In all this a pair of dark eyes flash in front of my eyes and a name before I fall into a slumber.
